Our Inspiration and Development Process
In April `24, I (Leon Wohlfart) had the unique opportunity to join the German Solarbike Team (Kilian Weigand & Jonas Becker) on their SunTrip Sahara Race as a videographer. Already during the adventure Kilians passion for innovative technology and solarbike racing caught me. It was that evening we were setting up the tents in the middle of the Sahara and we decided to develop Solarbike Racer. We want to tell the story we experienced on our trip. Few nightshifts of brainstorming later we had the game concept planed. We had a creative game presentiation at Fahrwerker Headquarter and Leon started with the coding and visual design process. But who is the Man behind all the development work?
About the Developer – Leon Wohlfart
I`m Leon, a passionate 20 year old game developer. For over five years I`m creating exciting game projects across various genres. To this day I`ve developed more than five Games for PC and with the development of Solarbike Racer I`m now entering the mobilegame industry with a very unique take. Eventhough I`m not here with a cycling background, the new use case of solar panels made me ask what really matters to race a solar bike like Kilian and Jonas. I had to understand the physics of the bike and how it handles. After some bike trips together with Kilian, it was time to spend some weeks in front of the PC. I created Solarbike Racer, a game that can inspire and open new worlds for everyone.
